Senator and a Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe

A senator since June 2016, she has a degree in Political Science and Sociology, a master’s degree in International Studies (University of Barcelona–UB), a postgraduate degree in European Union Law (UB) and a master’s degree in Political Analysis (Open University of Catalonia–UOC). She has been a spokeswoman for Esquerra in the Senate Committees on Development, Constitutional Affairs, and the joint Congress-Senate committee on the EU and Civil Service.

In recent years she has participated as an electoral observer for the OSCE-ODHIR in Albania (2017), Azerbaijan (2018) and Georgia (2018). She has published several works on political analysis, including “Analysis of the discourse of political elites in the Spanish Senate and the procedure followed during the process regulated in Article 155 of the Spanish Constitution. Consequences on the democratic quality of Spain,” which was her master’s thesis in Political Analysis. She is a member of several associations including the Catalan Council of the European Movement (CCME), Sovereignty and Justice, the Catalan Business Circle, the ANC, and Òmnium, and a board member of the Farmers’ Guild of Sant Llorenç and Sant Isidre, of Tarragona. Since 2020, he has also been a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
