MEP Diana Riba: “The Ara Republiques coalition has produced great results and grows with partners throughout Spain”

Along with other party representatives, Esquerra Republicana candidate for the European elections Diana Riba has signed the Ara Repúbliques (Republics Now) European parliamentary election manifesto

At an event in Barcelona, Esquerra Republicana candidate Diana Riba highlighted the strength of the Ara Repúbliques coalition, remarking that “it has produced great results.” She also underlined the importance of these elections, since “60% of the laws that affect us emanate from Europe.”

Diana Riba asked the Socialists whether they would continue to “buy the far right’s migration policies” or whether there will be “a strong left that halts the reactionaries by extending the rights and freedoms of the people.” She emphasized that “Ara Republiques are the only force committed to fighting to bolster more human rights.”

Ms Riba also signed the Ara Repúbliques coalition European parliamentary election manifesto this week together with Basque EH Bildu candidate Pernando Barrena; the head of international relations of Galician BNG, Rubén Cela; and the Balearics Ara Més representative, Biel Crusach. Various parties from the rest of Spain also participated in the signature: the national coordinator of the Canary Islands’ Ahora Canarias/Unidad del Pueblo, Vicente Quintana; the lead candidate of the Valencian Esquerra Republicana del Pais Valencià ticket, Mikel Forcada; the Esquerra Unida i Alternativa party secretary for Europe, Arnau Piqué; the coordinator of the executive committee of Comunistes de Catalunya, Cristina Bedmar; and the international secretary of Aragonése Puyalon, Chemari García. Asturian Andecha Astur and Galician Anova have also signed the manifesto.
