During the visit, the leader of Esquerra Republicana will meet senior government officials in Colombia, Argentina and Chile

The President of Esquerra Republicana Oriol Junqueras is travelling to Latin America to present the Catalan case and expose Spanish repression before the institutions in Colombia, Argentina and Chile. Esquerra’s leader will be there from 13 to 22 November.

During his stay, he will meet senior government and institutional officials, as well as with human rights movements and organizations.

Mr Junqueras will also take the opportunity to give lectures at several universities in the region, including the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, and the University of Buenos Aires.

This is the first trip outside Europe that he is able to make after almost four years in prison. Esquerra Republicana will provide details of Mr Junqueras’ agenda as the visit progresses, along with the audiovisual material produced.
