Raül Romeva is ratified as Spitzenkandidaten for the European Free Alliance

Raül Romeva will stand together with Maylis Rossberg to form a tandem in the EFA campaign for the forthcoming 2024 European elections

Esquerra Deputy Secretary General for Foresight, Agenda 2030, Ecological Transition and Sports Raül Romeva, who belongs to the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament, has been ratified as Spitzenkandidaten for the European Free Alliance (ALE) in Congress held in Strasbourg on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 October.

Mr Romeva’s tandem to lead the EFA campaign in the 2024 European elections with Maylis Rossberg, a member of the Danish minority in Germany and the SWW (South Schleswig Voters' Association), was announced at the Congress.

Mr Romeva and Ms Rossberg epitomise the diversity of parties in Europe working together in the defence of self-determination, democracy and human rights.

The Deputy General Secretary for Foresight, Agenda 2030, Ecological Transition and Sports made his first address as the Spitzenkandidat in Congress on 14 October at 11:30 a.m. with part of the speech in Catalan. The election manifesto was also presented then.
